Maki HIMEKURA

Maki Himekura is a high school student who is also a member of the literature club. She has brown hair and is a bit of a loner. She is often seen reading books and does not have many friends. However, she is very intelligent and is always willing to help others. One day, Maki is walking home from school when she sees a group of students picking on a smaller student. Maki decides to stand up to the bullies and tells them to leave the smaller student alone. The bullies are surprised by Maki's courage and they back down. The smaller student thanks Maki for helping her and the two of them become friends. Maki learns that the smaller student's name is Sakura and that she is also a member of the literature club. Sakura tells Maki that she is being bullied because she is a lesbian. Maki is shocked to hear this and she promises to help Sakura stand up to the bullies. Maki and Sakura work together to fight back against the bullies. They start by talking to the school administration about the problem. The administration is initially reluctant to help, but they eventually agree to take action. The bullies are eventually suspended from school and Sakura is no longer bullied. Maki and Sakura's friendship grows
